Amy received an A.S. in Chemistry from Kilgore College and a B.S. in Computer Science (with Chemistry minor) from U.T. Tyler. She later received her teaching degree from LeTourneau. She has been teaching science and math for over 15 years in public schools and CHCS. Her favorite thing about teaching at CHCS is being able to incorporate her faith into the classroom. She approaches science from a Christian perspective, always trying to point students to the beauty of God's creation. She has been married to her husband Patrick for 30 years. They have two adult sons, Brandon and Zachary. They attend Calvary Baptist Church, where they are blessed to work as youth teachers. They enjoy traveling and especially love taking road trips to visit our National Parks where Amy can practice her hobby as an amateur nature photographer. Her husband says she "turns into a little girl" when exploring God's beautiful world, and this is what she hopes to instill in her students as well.
