Cammy Burkhalter

Mrs. Burkhalter graduated from Baylor University with both her undergraduate and master's degrees. She has taught all grade levels, including teaching within the education and music departments at East Texas Baptist University where she enjoyed teaching future educators how to teach. In her years of teaching in public schools in Texas, Cammy was chosen as Teacher of the Year at Chapel Hill ISD in Mt. Pleasant. At Christian Heritage Classical School, she has taught fifth grade, first grade, freshman history, theatre, music and is now serving the logic and rhetoric schools in teaching 7th and 8th grade US History and sophomore English/Literature. Mrs. Burkhalter is often called to speak and provide professional development for school districts to address art integration within the classroom. Mrs. Burkhalter and her husband, Chad, have four children, three graduates of CHCS-- Cole, Cara Beth, who is teaching math at CHCS, and Christina.Their daughter Caroline is in 7th grade.  Cammy is passionate about instilling in her students the love of learning and the importance of loving one another as Christ loves us.
