Michelle Peterman

My name is Michelle Peterman and I am a Kindergarten teacher here at CHCS. I graduated from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor with a degree in Elementary Education and a specialization in Special Education.  While attending UMHB, my senior year I received the award of "Student Teacher of the Year" by the directors of field experience.  After I graduated,  I taught for 7 years in a public school where I was awarded the honor of  "Teacher of the Year!"  Receiving these 2 awards confirmed what I had known since I was in 2nd grade, that I wanted to be a teacher!  My husband and I met at UMBH and have been married 32 years and have 2 amazing children -Jake 2017 CHCS Graduated and Anna 2020 CHCS Graduate, and one daughter in love, Madeline!  Our family serves and are members at NBBC Gilmer.

I have been a teacher here at CHCS for 12 years and God has blessed me by allowing me to do what I love- teach!
