Courtney Skelton

Courtney Skelton is originally from the panhandle of Texas. She Attended Dallas Christian College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Bible. It was there she met her husband Mike. They’ve been married for 14 years and have one bundle of excitement, Finn (6). Upon completing her bachelors, Courtney knew teaching was her calling and began an alternative certification program. She taught at Covenant Academy for 8 years in the grammar school, in Houston, TX. In 2016, Courtney and Mike relocated to Longview where Mike took his role as senior pastor at Longview Christian Church. Most recently, Courtney served as Upper School Principal at Longview Christian School and maintained that position for 3 years. Courtney is excited to be back in classical education at CHCS where she hopes to equip teachers and partner with parents to help raise the next generation in classical education. In her free time, Courtney serves as a leader at LCC’s women’s ministry. She also volunteers on the worship team. She loves to read, drink coffee, and swim with Finn! 
Her favorite memory verse is Isaiah 42:16 

“I will lead the blind by ways there are not known. Along unfamiliar paths I will guide. I will turn darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These the things I will do, I will not forsake them.”
